Store Samples

Hello! Today I am going to show some more of the samples I have been making for the store I work at, Stamp Antonio Arts. If any of you are ever in San Antonio, be sure to come check us out! We are the only LSS that has rubber stamps, mixed media & much more!

Here is a card I made using some 12x12 paper from S.E.I.

Here is a pic of the paper before I cut out some of the flowers...

I used the backside of this paper for my back ground, cut out some of the flowers and used pop-dots to pop them up! Super simple card! (And BTW, I made this sample and within a week, the paper has sold out! Yay me! My boss told me I need to get busy on more samples!)

Paper: S.E.I. Sunny Day; Summer Bouquet
Ink: Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs
Stamps: Paper Wings Productions (PWP)- Sayings & Sentiments
Other: Stickles-Stardust

And here is a comp book I made as a sample for the store:

And a close-up of the stamp and Pearl Pen used...

Isn't this the coolest paper? I knew I wanted to use it as soon as I got it out of the box! I love making comp books and this one is really simple! I used cardstock as a band to "break up" the pattern and have a space to stamp my words! Viva Decor Pearl Pens were the perfect accent with out being too blingy!

Paper: S.E.I. Desert Springs; Bright Angel Trail
Stamps: Paper Wings Productions (PWP)- Sayings & Sentiments
Other: Viva Decor Pearl Pen- Yellow & Lt Green
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink Black Soot

I will be back soon with more samples and this weekend I have my Stamp Club and can't wait to show off our project for the month! SOOO excited! :) :)

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥

Stamps of Life Mums2Stamp

Well this is Week 2 of my "Challenge to Me" and so far, so good! Although I wanted to post this yesterday but right before I came in to schedule my post, I started getting a migraine & then had to just call it a night and go to bed! I don't get them often but when I do, UGH!! I can always tell when they are coming on though, so that's kind of nice. I immediately take Advil & drink some soda, then go lay down and usually it helps!

Anyway, here is my card for today....I made it last week for my Mom for Mother's Day. I wanted something purple, simple & pretty....I think I achieved that! :)

I really like how it turned out! For the "Pearls" I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen...I love these! Like Stickles but Pearls! :)

Stamps: Stamps of Life- Mums2Stamp, Inky Antics-Swirly Butterflies "Happy Mother's Day",
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Inks- Milled Lavender, VersaFine Black
Other: SU oval frame embossing folder, Viva Decor Pearl Pen- Lilac

Graduation Banner-Joy's Life DT

Hello! This week over at Joy's Life, the DT are making some great Home Decor projects to show you! And since we are in full Graduation mode over here, I made 2 banners to decorate the table for my sons Graduation! I can NOT believe he is graduating from HS! I'm sure over the next few weeks, I will posting stories & pics of him...He will be leaving for college in Aug and I am so sad to see him go, but I know he will do amazing things in life and this college education is something he has been looking forward to for years!! I am just SO proud of him!!

Anyway, back to the project! I used 3 different sets from Joy's stamps...I will list them above each of the pictures....here are the full banners...I cut them on my Cricut using Birthday Bash and cut at 4" (these are small, I want them for the centerpieces...)

And here are the close-ups and the stamp sets I used....

"Congratulations" & You Can Do Anything" are from Mother/Daughter

"Graduation" is from Everyday Occasions...

And finally, "You Rock" from Father/Son

Since I would assume my SON doesn't want a bunch of blingy, glittery graduation stuff (LOL!!) I didn't do too much embellishing....just used glitter paper on the number shadows to sparkle a bit! The numbers were cut out at 2.5" using Birthday Bash as well!

I was really happy how they turned out! Now to decide what else I can make for decorations! :)

Be sure to stop by the rest of the DT to see the fabulous projects this week!

Hello Friend

Do you ever make a tag, card or any project & think, Wow! I really like this?? Well that's what I did last night! And I wasn't planning on making a post for today, but I just can't help it! I am SUPER IN LOVE with this tag! It all started with me getting an order from Blitsy (Ugh! I'm addicted to Blitsy!!!**) the other day. I bought some Tim Holtz stamps and some embossing powder from Mix'd Media...well I just HAD to try them out! And then at work on Thursday, I got some die cuts from Impression Obsession (OMG I LOVE their dies & stamps!!) My co-worker cut out a couple of sets of the Bare Branch, Nest & Birds....so I really wanted to use those too...and here is the final product!

Seriously & totally in love with this tag! And the funny part...NO Stickles on here at all!! OMG!! Actually, no bling at all! Wow!

Stamps: Artistic Collages (Tim Holtz), Rose (Inky Antics), No Place Like Home (Impression Obsession)
Inks: Peeled Paint, Scattered Straw & Gathered Twigs (Tim Holtz Distress Ink)
Other: Mix'd Media Embossing Powder (Leather) IO Dies (Bird, Nest, & Bare Branch)

**So I mentioned above that I am addicted to Blitsy...here is proof...I went to Blitsy to get the link to insert in this blog post and ended up spending $40.00 on more stuff!! :) BTW, if you click the Blitsy link, it will take you to the sign up page....and I get rewarded if you sign up through this link! Thank you!

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥

Paper Wings Productions Sample

Well, so far so good...3rd post this week and ready to schedule more! :) Of course it is only week one of my challenge! But we have to start somewhere! :)

A few weeks ago I made a sample for a stamp company at work, Paper Wings Productions. Carrie has some amazing stamps! After I did the sample she asked if I would like to do a Guest Designer spot for their May blog hop! I was like "Um YEAH!!" How exciting right?? Well yes, IF I would have read the message better instead of "looking" at it, and "thinking" I would remember the details with out any help from anyone else...HA!!!! So I had my day off last Friday and was planning on spending all day working on my project and was going to just WOW everyone over at PWP DT! Well surprise surprise....Norma messages me bright & early FRIDAY morning and asks where my project is?!! The hop had started at 7 AM ON FRIDAY MORNING!! UGH!! I am so used to hops being on Saturdays I ASSUMED the hop was on a Saturday and failed to actually read the date! OMG I was freaking out!! I had plans that morning but when I got home I slapped something together and threw it on my blog! Not at ALL what I wanted to be seen! I'm sure I did WOW the PWP DT alright...they were probably like "WOW! Carrie wanted HER to be in our blog hop!!!" LOL! No, I'm kidding, It wasn't hideous...it just wasn't what I wanted it to be! I truly hope they will give me another chance! :) :)

But anyway, here is the original card I made for the store...

I seriously LOVE this card!!

Stamps: PWP Butterfly Panel
Paper: S.E.I Dessert Springs collection
Ink: TH Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire
Other: Stickles (StarDust)

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥

Challenge Week 1: Stamps of Life Phone4You

Well so far so good! Multiple postings this week AND now a post using a Stamps of Life stamp set! Yay me! Ok, so it's only week 1 of my challenge to myself but I have had New Years resolutions not last this long! :) If you want to read more about my challenge, click HERE...

So, I just recently started storing my clear stamp sets in a different way and that was when I realized how many SOL sets I have and have never used. So I decided to use at least one a week and I will just reach in there and grab the next one in line. There is no order to them at all, so when I use one I will put it in the back of the stack, then the next week, get the 1st one showing. This week, it just happens to be her latest monthly release, Phone4you. I have to admit, I struggled with this one! Having such a large image was kind of hard but I like how it turned out! I ended up using A LOT of Stickles! LOL! Once I started Stickling...I couldn't stop! :) I'm not sure if it was my inks (I used Distress Inks) but I couldn't get a crisp image especially on the solid inside of the phone...maybe next time I will try different inks...

Here is a closer shot of the Stickles & Pearl Pen I used....and the "double stamping"

 Stamps: Phone4You (Stamps of Life)
Paper: Night of Navy, Rose Red (SU) S.E.I (Mayberry-Sinkers & Suds)
Ink: Chipped Sapphire & Worn Lipstick (Tim Holtz)
Other: StarDust Stickles, Magenta Pearl Pen, Deckle scissors

Thanks for coming by and stop by tomorrow to see a card I made using Paper Wings Production stamps...A gorgeous Butterfly card! :)

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥

Graphic 45 Little Darlings

Ok don't be too shocked! Multiple posts in one week?? Ha!!Well, I've decided to challenge myself to blog more AND use more of my stuff! So here we go....

Challenge to myself
(and anyone else that wants to take part!)

#1: Not including my DT post, post on my blog AT LEAST 2 other times a week
#2: Since I belong to The Stamps of Life monthly club, to make one card a week with a different stamp set! I was doing some organizing of my stamps (again!!) and realized I have been in her club for 2 years, plus bought other sets from her, and have used MAYBE 20% of all of her stamps!!! =/ NOT good! So once a week, I will make a card, tag or project using a stamp set from her that I have never used before AND post it on here!
#3: Once a week, make something using a stamp set that has never been inked before AND post it on here!

So, if I hold up to my challenge, there should be a minimum of 3 posts per week not to mention samples from work and just playing around stuff!

I would also like to start entering more challenges, but I won't put that in "writing" just yet! ;)

So here are a couple of samples I made for work last week. We had an over-stock on Graphic 45 Little Darling paper, so I made some samples to go along with the collection...

I just LOVE this one with the baby pic!! I thought I didn't like this paper until I started working with it...and then the creative juices started flowing and I wanted to make more! LOL!

Paper: Graphic 45 Little Darlings
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Walnut Stain, Dried Marigold (Baby card w/flowers)
Stamps:
Other: Stickles (StartDust) Scallop Punch, Circle Punch

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥
