Would You Guess Wednesday

Today is Wednesday so that means....it is Would You Guess Wednesday over at My Cricut CraftRoom! Today is the day the Design Team uses the Feature Keys only on the Cricut overlay! Sometimes it's easy....sometimes it's a challenge!! Today, mine is a little of both!

A few weeks ago my BCB (Best Crafting Buddy) bought me some Prima flowers that look like Poinsettias! They are GORGEOUS!!! (Thanks again Tammy!!) BUT with it still being October a few weeks ago, I didn't want to even begin to think Christmas!! Well now it is November & I can't live in denial anymore! Christmas is right around the corner! So I thought I would break out the Christmas supplies & start now!

I used the cart "Wrap It Up" and made the pillow box....I didn't even KNOW there was a pillow box on there!! LOL!! See, this is why we do Would You Guess Wednesday!! I never would have guessed that was on there! LOL!! I just crack myself up!! :) Anyhoo...I cut the pillow box (shown below) just as it is, flower and all, but if you have a Gypsy, you can "hide" all that and cut a solid pillow box for any occasion!

But since I wanted to use my Poinsettias, I left it as is! I covered the window with acetate (transparencies) and ran it through my Big Shot with the Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder from Stampin Up! I used cardstock with a white core, so that when I embossed it, it would look distressed. But I also sanded it lightly after embossing.  I added some Stickles (of course!!) and then layered on my Prima flowers held together with a gold glitter brad!! Gorgeous!!
