Been a long time...

Well I said I would try and update this at least every other day...HA! Last week everyone was sick, then the long weekend and now the last 3 days of school!! YEA! But I did get some crafting in this weekend! It has been a while and I missed it!

1st off...I was working on some end-of-the-year gifts for one of my FAVORITE customers!

I started off with using an idea I saw here, I used recycled strawberry containers, filled them with Twizzlers & decorated the outside. These will be for the teachers and admin.

She also wanted something small for all the "specials" teachers (comp, art,music etc...) so I took the left over Twizzlers, bunched them up & added a cute tag!

And finally, for the office staff, Starbucks bottles filled with Jolly Ranchers! I added a tag that says "Have a "JOLLY" summer"...kind of dorky, but cute! LOL!

Then my son asked me to make someone a comp book (I LOVE LOVE making these!!) for a friend as a thank you for doing something nice for him in school. Her favorite color is turquoise so here it is....

Tomorrow (and for the next couple of days) I will be working on 2 different baby shower invitations! I really enjoy doing baby shower invites and the party favors! So there will be plenty of pics form those later!

Trevor's NJHS

Well I said "tomorrow" was Trevor's time for his own blog post but that was a couple of days ago! But you know how it is...the weekend, relaxing, sleeping in! Love it!! Can't wait until summer vacation! Only 8 more days!!! Yipee!!

Ok, back to Trevor...He was inducted into NJHS on Thurs evening! Yea Trevor!!

We are so proud of both of them! They have both accomplished so much already! MUCH, MUCH more than I ever did in HS!! LOL!

The end of the school year is full of banquets, award ceremonies and just plain celebrating ALL of their accomplishments!

I will be doing a lot of crafting this week, so expect some crafting posts next! Also, it was suggested to me from some wonderful people that I start a website sell my stuff so I will be looking into Etsy to list some of my projects! How exciting!!

Travis ROTC...

Today is the last day Travis will be wearing his ROTC uniform! He has decided to do Culinary Arts next yr and even though he technically could do both, it would mess up his credits for graduation! He is going to for Distinguished so he needs all the credits he can get! So before he left this morning, I took this last pic of him in uniform. I was skeptical about him joining ROTC last year but it has turned out to be a wonderful program and a great way to make new friends, learn discipline & respect! Not that he needed all that (LOL!) BUT it IS a wonderful program! He was on the Academic Team and got to travel to competitions, get awards and meet other ROTC groups from many other cities! I am so proud of him! (and Trevor too! He gets his blog post tomorrow! Stay tuned for that!)

I am getting ready to put in an estimate for a pretty big crafting "job" so probably no crafting today...unless I get time to sneak some in!

Some quick note-cards...

So I got a call this morning asking if I was busy today. The call was from one of my best customers (you know who you are!!), so I knew she needed some crafting done TODAY! Uh-Oh!! HOW much is she going to ask me to do?? :)

But it was a small request...5 note-cards to put on some candy bags! THAT I can do!! And this is what I did...The purple ribbon looks alot darker in the pic!

I am trying to do some posting everyday, if not every other day! And trying to learn all about all this blogging stuff....whew! It's alot to learn! My next trick I want to know about is how to make a signature & watermark! So if any of you out there know how...let me know!! :) But so far I think I have done pretty good at keeping it up and learning some of the tricks!

The Stampin' Up order came in this afternoon, so I have to go separate everything...I know My Club Ladies will be SO excited!! Until next time....

A Bday party & some recent projects...

Well we spent most of the day yesterday at Landa Park enjoying this GORGEOUS weather and celebrating a birthday! My "niece" Cassie turns 1 today, but of course we had celebrate yesterday. The weather was AMAZING for an outdoor party! We are not "outdoorsy" kind of people (especially in this TX heat!!) but we couldn't have asked for better weather! We all had such a good time laughing, eating & just relaxing a bit!

And also I would like to post a couple of projects I recently finished.
1st off is some lettering I was asked to make for a History Fair project. A friend of mine recommended me to a customer that came into her work, she called me, told me what she needed and this is what I did for her! I had never used this Cricut Cart before (Wild West) but absolutely LOVE this font!! I cut the back layer w/chipboard and popped every layer with pop dots to add dimension!

  Next up is the last Birthday party I did. The theme was "CANDY" so invitations, party favors and thank you's all had a candy theme to them! Here are the invitations...

I saw this idea somewhere on the internet and here is my version of it! They came out SO cute! Next is the little goody given to the birthday girl's class...they are small cans of Play-Doh wrapped to look like candy...

Here we go...

Ok! I'm jumping into the blogging world! I am hoping to make this a place to show some of my samples and get feedback from friends & family! I feel that with summer coming up, I will have plenty of time to get this thing off the ground properly! ☻

I am working on all kinds of new crafting projects and hope to keep this updated as often as possible!
