Imagine-ation Monday

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Good Morning!! :) It's Monday & that means Imagine-ation Monday over at My Cricut Craftroom!! Today is Halloween so this will be my last Halloween card or project for the year! I can't believe it is going to be November tomorrow!! WOW!! It has just flown by! Less than 2 months until Christmas....oh my!! And now the rush begins! But before we begin the Christmas rush, we need to finish Halloween first! :)


My kids (16 & 13) are really too old to go trick-or-treating but my 13 yr old really loves to get dressed up & go get candy! I guess all kids do...and even some of us adults too! But this year he has football practice after school, and I told him I am sure just because it is Halloween doesn't mean his teachers aren't going to give him homework! In fact I would almost bet he has hw from at LEAST one teacher! So I told him, I would go buy him candy if that's what it's really about! But I am sure at the last minute he will want to do something! Sadly, our neighborhood doesn't give out candy (we live on 3 acres as do most of the neighborhood we are in, so since the house are so far apart, I guess no one wants to do the walk up to the houses) but maybe we can do a couple of streets in the neighborhood next to us....we will see after practice how he is & just how much hw he has! 


Anyway, back to my card!! One thing I love about the Imagine (even though I don't own one!! LOL!! I just use my friend's when we go over there!) Is that there is so much detail in the image cut, that you can make a simple card spectacular just by adding a few embellishments & some patterned paper! This image is from the cart "Enjoy the Seasons" and is cut at 3 1/2". I used some patterned paper, added some yummy, gorgeous ribbon from Stampin Up! and then added a Halloween "button" in the center of the knot. I also stamped "Spooky" on the bottom from My Pink Stamper "Boo-alicious" set!

Oct Stamp Club

Yesterday was my monthly Stamp Club with my wonderful & fun friends!! I said this yesterday, but I just LOVE doing these club parties!! They are so much fun & it's a great time to just let all the stress just go away!

This month we did 3 projects...the first was a total fluke! I had seen a YouTube video on "Double Embossing", where you use 2 different embossing folders on one piece of cardstock to have to different patterns. It was so pretty but when I did it...it looked like poo!! LOL! She used watercolor paper and I think that was the difference! Anyway...I thought I would Google double embossing and see if anyone had done it with cardstock but found this video and fell in love with this technique! So this is what we did and I actually like this better than the first idea!! (All products in these projects are Stampin Up!)

And here are the directions I used....

I absolutely love this card!! I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock, Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder, silver embossing powder & Cherry Cobbler ribbon....

Our next project was an altered DVD case! These would make perfect Christmas gifts, birthday gifts or just as a thank you!

I have seen these used as coupon holders too! Coupons on one side, shopping list on the other! Way too cool!! :)

And our last project was OMG so cool!! We used the Snowflake die from Stampin Up! and made snowflakes out of soda cans!!! Ok and beer cans too! :) Just cut open the can (be careful edges will be sharp!), run through your Big Shot (clear plate, die, can layed flat, clear plate, shim) So So cool!!!

Aren't they pretty?? These are Coors Light, Arizona Tea & Grape soda cans. So many different possibilities! So many colors!!

Halloween Treat Boxes

Hello everyone & Happy Saturday!! :) I totally missed doing an Organization post yesterday, but will make up for it soon! Today I am having my monthly Stamp Club party! I just love doing these every month! I wish we could do them every weekend! We have such a good time eating, laughing, gossiping & of course CRAFTING!! :) Usually every month we do a swap of cards between us but this month I decided to make "my ladies" Halloween treat boxes! I made some during the week for my customer & they came out SO cute, I just had to make some for our club! Here are the ones I made for my customers kids teachers...

And here are the ones for "my ladies"....

These were cut from the cart Tags, Bags, Boxes & More! I just LOVE this little containers!! They were cut at 6" and are the perfect size for some little treats! The bottom pics you can see the M&M's, they are the snack size & I put 2 bags in there! The sentiment "You're wicked COOL" is from My Pink Stamper Boo-alicious set! Love LOVE this set!! And the papers are just random Halloween papers!

Theme Day Thursday-Pirates/Princess

Today is Theme Day Thursday over at My Cricut CraftRoom!! The theme that the DT has been given this week is Pirates/Princess...BUT with this being Halloween week, I decided to do Princess in a different way! :)

How about a Vampire Princess?? :) Even Princesses have to go trick-or-treating, right?!?! I used Paper Doll Dress Up to make this cute trick-or-treater! Added some Stickles to her crown & collar to add some Princess sparkle! And I used the My Pink Stamper stamps for the Happy Halloween at the bottom! I used my I-Rock to add some orange jewels to the bottom and on the black strip...

Halloween Treats

A few weeks ago I was searching BloggerLand and came across THIS post from Pink Cricut!! They are SO stinkin' cute!! I just LOVE them! So when I got the call to make some Halloween treats for my favorite customers :) kids classes....I knew I HAD to make these!! So the search began! For the Peeps!! Holy cow!! These were NOT easy to find here! I see them every single year, but of course the year I need them...no where to be found!!! Grrr!!! I found some at Walgreen's, but they were the 3 pack and they were 2 for $3.00!! Oh and I needed 65 of these!! Yeah, decided not to get them there! I had almost given up when Mom found them at CVS- a 9 pk 2 for $3.00!! Woo Hoo!!! But when I thought I couldn't find them, I saw the Halloween Marshmallows at Wal-Mart and figured I would just substitute those...then Brandee told me that would be perfect because one of her sons can't eat Peeps! SO when I found the Peeps, I decided to do 2 of the kids classes with Peeps & the other with the marshmallows!

Anyway (whew that a huge paragraph just about buying Peeps!! LOL!!) here are my treat bags

So I made 65 of these and I just love seeing them all in the box ready to go!! They are so cute!! :)

Card Creating Tuesday!!

Welcome to Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut CraftRoom!! Today I am showing a Halloween card made with the cart Paper Doll Dress Up! Isn't she just the cutest witch?? LOL!!

I cut her out at 3 1/2", pieced her together (ok this sounds bad!!!) & added some stitching with my white gel pen! I used some background paper from...uh oh! Don't know the company...it was from a stack my BCB gave me and we split the stack! Sorry!! But anyway...I just bought (actually HUBBY bought!! WOW! I was shocked!!) me a new My Pink Stamper Halloween set & I LOVE it!! This sentiment is from that set! So when I saw this sentiment I knew I had to use the Peachy Keen stamp to make her wink! Then I added some ribbon to finish off the card!

Becky's Sweet Creations Weekly Challenge- Page Map

Good Monday morning to everyone!! Wow! I haven't posted here all weekend! =/ I have been busy crafting though! ALL weekend! So I will have MANY projects for you this week!! But first...a challenge for the Design Team at Becky's Sweet Creations!! This week our challenge was to do a "page map"...I have heard them also called "card sketches" and I think they are the same...at least I hope they are!! LOL!! Here is the "map" we were given...

And here is my take on this...

I used some paper from The Paper Studio "Lime Twist" for all of my patterned paper. When I first saw this I thought of using a scallop circle with an image, but then I saw this flower & it just matches so well! I had to use it! Stamped "hugs to you" from My Pink Stamper and I also inked the edges of the lime green cardstock w/black! I embossed half of the cardstock with the Devine Swirls folder to give it a little texture!

All week the DT will be showing off their card that they made with this sketch...so be sure to keep going back to see what else has been posted!

Organization Friday!! Embellishments

TGIF TGIF!!! I am SO happy it is Finally Friday!! I just love weekends way too much!! :) This has been a busy cleaning week for me...yesterday was the first day I was in my craft room since LAST Friday!! WHAT??? But I got so much done around the house & the weather has been GORGEOUS here for the last few days!! I have had my windows open & cleaning like mad woman!! So much so that when the kids would come home from school they would say "SO what did you clean today?" Not the usual "So what did you craft today?"!! LOL!! Before I get into my Organization Friday post, I have do a shout out to my 16 yr old Travis....We found out today (just like literally an hour ago!!) that he was accepted into The National Honor Society at his high school!!! Woo Hoo Travis!! He was in NJHS in middle school & they don't have Honor Society until Junior yr at the HS (I never knew that!) I am just so proud of him (& of course Trevor too!!) in all he has & will accomplish! And for those of you that didn't know me in HS....well let's just say I shake my head in wonder ALL the time & say "MY kid??? Really??? WOW!!" And I will leave it at that!! LOL!!

Today I am going to show how I organize my embellishments! I decided a couple of years ago to sort ALL my stuff in the old fashioned rainbow color way...ROYGBP...so when I buy any brads, eyelets, shaped buttons, etc I OPEN THE PACKAGE (wink, wink for SOME people out there...you know who you are!!) and sort them into colors. I bought these organizers at Hobby Lobby, I think they were like $20 but of course I used my coupon! I have 3 of these with all my embellishments! Now when I am working on a card/project, I just grab the case & find the color I need!

 And here is one of the sides to show how I labeled one of them!

And now here is all the beautiful colors!! :) This is one container...so you have 8 of these "strips" that each pull out so you don't have to take all of them out at once!

And here is the second one....this has the white, vanilla, metallic & some larger brads on one side....

And then on the other side...probably one of my favorites...all my alpha shaped brads in alpha order!! :) And of course labeled!!

And the third one has all my shaped buttons grouped by category...

I admit, I do also have 2 of the spinning organizers from Stampin Up with ALL my Stampin Up brads etc...since I do have SU parties, I need to keep those separate from the rest!

Would You Guess Wednesday

Welcome to another Would You Guess Wednesday over at My Cricut Craftroom!! Today I am going to use the cart "Life is A Beach"...I have used this so much in the last couple of weeks, but I really LOVE it!! It has so many different images to use! And this time I decided to use the whale image...BUT since it is Would You Guess Wednesday, The Design Team is challenged to use only the feature keys of the overlay so I decided to make the square card feature of the whale.

I have been looking at this stamp from My Pink Stamper that I have that says Get "Whale" Soon...so of course I HAD to use it with this card! I cut the card out twice, so I could have the 2 different colors of blue...and added some striped paper behind the whale. Added some rhinestones, ribbon & of course Stickles to bling it up!! And used my white gel pen to add some "stitching" around the card!

Becky's Sweet Creations Weekly Challenge-Easel Card

Hello everyone in BloggerLand!! Hope all is going well for everyone! I have had some really productive days...only it's all household stuff, no crafting! :( I haven't crafted in THREE days!! But that will all change real soon!! But I do have my card ready for the Design Team challenge over at Becky's Sweet Creations! This weeks challenge is to make an Easel Card! I made this one time a couple of years ago, so this was almost like new to me!

Almost all of this card was made using Stampin Up products! I LOVE this butterfly embosslit die!! It makes 5 different sizes of butterflies & they are all embossed with different patterns! HERE you can find the tutorial on making an easel card! And when you make your easel card, be sure to head over to Becky's Sweet Creations where she has a Mr. Linky to add your card for a chance to win a surprise! :) Also over there are some of the DT Easel Card creations!

Imagine-ation Monday

Welcome to another Imagine-ation Monday over at My Cricut Craftroom! Today is the day we as The Design Team use our Imagine machines to create something spectacular for you to see!! Or in my case...I use my friends Imagine machine to create something spectacular for you to see! LOL!!

Today I chose to make TWO cards for your viewing pleasure!! :) I used the Best of Seasons cart for both of these cards! IF I had an Imagine...THIS would def be cart I would own! It has great images on it!

For my first card, I used the image with the dog & the cat looking out the window...when I saw this image in the book, I just knew I had to use this stamp from My Pink Stamper!

 I popped up the cat & dog for some dimension & added some Stickles for the stars! I also used some of my CuttleBug border embossing folders for that added "something" on the sides!

For my next card...I just HAD to cut out this image with the apple & caterpillar! It is SO cute!!

This card is a premade card from Michael's so all I did was pop up the image, stamp my sentiment and add some "skittles" fro some embellishments! I knew I didn't want too much on this card, just very simple! This would be great to give to any teacher or day care provider! I really love this sentiment I used! (again from My Pink Stamper) I use this alot in my projects that I do for school teachers or volunteers!

The Final Baby Shower Pics & WINNERS!!

Happy Sunday to all!! Yesterday was such a wonderful day!! We had a day of cleaning here at home! The boys & I cleaned all day and now are ready for a nice lazy Sunday!

On Friday I made a small notebook at the last minute for Brandee to give to the Mom-To-Be at the shower. She said she wanted to give it to her so she could write down the gifts she received or whatever else she wanted!

I had a notebook here that was plain, so I took it apart & put some zebra paper on the cover. I only had scraps left so I pieced it together and actually like the way it turned out! It almost looks like ribbon in the center, but it is all paper!! I added the onesie that I used on the invites (see pic below) and some ribbon on the spirals. I put it all back together with my Bind-It-All, which I love!! BUT I do want the Cinch now!! It's supposed to be better & bigger!! :) Anyway...I also made a matching pen to go with it!

I also thought I would post pics from the previous posts to show everything I made for the shower...Here are the invites...HERE is the original post with all the details!

I am really happy with how it all turned out and hope the shower was amazing! :)

Cupcake Blog Hop!! Yummy!!

Good morning & welcome to the Cupcake Blog Hop!! Today's hop is all about yummy cupcakes!! Who doesn't love cupcakes?? And in crafting there are SO many possibilities for cuteness!! You should have come from our wonderful & talented host Bernice...but if you are just popping in today from somewhere else, head on back there for the beginning!

As soon as I knew this hop was happening I knew I just HAD to do the cupcake box from the project cart "Sweet Tooth"....I had never done one before but have seen SO many interesting takes on this box! I have seen one done as a pumpkin & one done as an apple!! If you search YouTube, there are tons of ideas!! But here is my version...

I cut my cupcake box at 8 1/2" and just used some misc cardstock & scrapbook paper I had around! I was mainly focusing on the decorating of the box! :) The fun stuff!! I first added some fringe around the cupcake bottom (note to self & anyone else...put fringe and/or ribbon on BEFORE you assemble box!! Ask me how I know...LOL!!) Anyway, then I added some blingy (Is that even a word??? Yes, to us crafty people...yes it is!!) flowers to the bottom and of course no cupcake project (in my mind at least) would be complete without (say it with me....) STICKLES!!!

Then with some of the left over scraps (because we all know it is a GOOD thing to actually USE your scraps!!) I made a little 3x3 giftcard to match! :)

Now for the fun part....BLOG CANDY!!!

Happy Birthday Sandy!!

Today someone very special is having a birthday! My Mom has been friends with Martie since they were teenagers & Martie's daughter Sandy is having a birthday today! I have known Sandy all her life (I was 10 when she was born!) and they are part of my family! We have always called eachother cousins, even though there is no blood relation, we will always be family!! :) I remember Martie always being around when I was little & we even lived with her for a while before Sandy was born! Now that Sandy is married & has a daughter of her own, the 4 of us will get together whenever we can & just talk, vent, play games, have a drink & eat! It's our Girl's Night Out!! (Yes we are SO wild!! Talking & playing games....LOL!!)

Anyway, Sandy loves Dolphins so I had to, of course, make her a Dolphin card!

I cut the dolphin & waves out of the cart "Life's A Beach" AND I made my own Action Wobble!! I watched THIS video on how to make my own & it was SO easy!!! So now the dolphin comes to life bobbing in the waves!! :) I used the "Spots & Dots" embossing folder for the background and of course added some Stickles!! I used a My Pink Stamper stamp for the "Happy Birthday" on punched it with an oval punch and layered that with a scalloped oval punch!

Baby Shower Favors

Good Morning!! Hope everyone is having a super week!! It's almost Friday!! Woo Hoo!! Today I am going to show you the baby shower favors I made to match the invites I did here...The shower is this weekend, I hope everything goes well for them!

I made 25 of these for the shower and I just love them!

I am putting 2-3 Hershey Nuggets in each box! I used the Candy Favor Sizzix die from Stampin Up & matching papers from the invites...I stamped "Thank You" from a set from My Pink Stamper & punched it out with the oval punch!

Would You Guess Wednesday

Happy Hump Day!!! It is Would You Guess Wednesday over at My Cricut Craft Room!! 


I would just like to explain today's theme a little better..... On this day there are several things that you might see. 

Would you guess… Wednesdays- On this day, there are 4 ways to do this day.

We use ONLY the features on the cartridges, this applies to all three ways to do this day

1. . What this means is when you look at the handbook, you cannot use the main image on the left side of the page. But you can use ALL of the other features or layers.

2. Also you can use a CAKE cartridge to make a Paper creation.

3 On certain days we can use the same paper and see what everyone does with the same paper collection

4. You may also pick a 'partner'....... Basically we partner up and use the same cartridge with the same pages, sizes and cuts.

Today I chose to use a cake cartridge...something I haven't done in a while! I bought these Martha Stewart carts even though I don't own a Cricut Cake because you can still use them in your original Cricut AND if you like MS border punches...they are in these carts!!! So now you can cut them any size you want to!! WOW!!!

This card uses Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Cart...Oh and when I started thinking of designing a card for this day, I was thinking flowers...not sure why but while looking at my Gypsy & this cart, this black cat just called my name!! So my card went a totally different direction then I first thought! LOL! 

But am I glad it did!! I LOVE this card!! The background paper is from Cloud 9 Design & is embossed with the SU Square Lattice embossing folder. This paper has different colors already in it like yellows & oranges! Gorgeous!! Anyway, the cat & moon are cut at 4" and the Happy Halloween is cut at 1.22" (on the Gypsy)

Card Creating Tuesday!!

Welcome to another Card Creating Tuesday over at My Cricut Craft Room!! Today is the day we as the Design Team get to create any type of card for you to see!

Today I decided to do a Get Well card! I don't do these often, and as much as I hope we don't use them too often, I guess it is nice to have them on hand! I have seen many cards with a Band-Aid on the front, some cards in the shape of Band-Aids & I saw this image on "Indie Art" and thought I would give it a try!

I was a little confused on the cuts that were on this image...honestly still don't know what ALL the cuts were for?!?!? Maybe I am missing something? Oh well, I think it turned out cute! I popped up the middle part w/some small pop dots for just a little "padding" look. Then I wanted to do a sad face in the middle of the Band-Aid...but I found out I don't have ANY sad face Peachy Keen stamps!!! WHAT???? So I guess I know what will be my next purchase! Hmm, do they even have sad faces over there??

Anyway, got off track! I ran the red piece of cardstock through the "Forest Branches" CuttleBug embossing folder for a little texture and stamped "Get Well Wishes" from My Pink Stamper!

Becky's Sweet Creations Weekly Challenge-Flowers

Happy Monday Morning!!! Today the kids are home from school, so it has been a nice 3 day weekend! We had major storms on Saturday night (much needed storms!!) so I was up until 4AM praying that our back room didn't flood...it didn't!! YAY!!! And then spent all day Sunday at my good friend Tammy's house crafting! We had such a good time as always! :) So while I was there I decided to work on my challenge card for the week. This weeks challenge is to make anything with FLOWERS...Tammy said a couple of weeks ago, that she wanted to try Quilling. I told her that a few years ago, my Mom had done it, I tried it & just didn't have the patience for it! Well, she bought herself a starter kit and made some things with it. So while I was there yesterday, I decided to try it too...and here is what I made...

My very first quilled flower!! :) I was pretty impressed with it! LOL! Not bad for a beginner! :) Think I just might have to try more quilling in the future!

Today is Day 2 of our hop and I have a "Girly Girl" card for you! I have all boys, so any chance to make a bling card...I JUMP at it!! I really like the hot pink/zebra stripes look but decided to do it a little different today! 

A lighter pink & zebra stripes!! The crown is cut from the "Life's A Party" cart (I use that one SO much now!!) And I added some zebra ribbon and LOTS of rhinestones!! The actual image has some paper rhinestones you can make, but I wanted BLING!! :)

Today is Day 1 and I am showing a BOY card! 

For this card I used "Life's A Party" cart to make the alien! He came out SO cute!! The cardstock is random colors & companies that I had in scraps! I love using scraps! On the orange piece I ran it through the "Argyle" CuttleBug embossing folder to give some details! And added some "fringe" for texture! I have a hard time using ribbon on boy cards, but thought this worked great!!

Organization Friday!! Homecoming & A WINNER!!!

TGIF!!! I am really happy the weekend is FINALLY here!! This week seemed to drag on & on!! It has been a busy week (what else is new??) and it will be a busy weekend, but a fun busy! This week was Homecoming at the HS, so my oldest will be going to the dance tomorrow night....last night was the game (on a Thurs!!! Ugh!!) and they FINALLY won!!! Woo Hoo! Go Rams!! LOL!! Now they are 1-6, but at least they won on Homecoming!

Now on to the organization! Today I would like to show you how I store my ribbon! Again, I have tried SO many different ways...boxes with holes, bags with holes, dowels, shelves, you name it I have done it!! Lol!! But this idea is so far the BEST way I have had my ribbon!! I love it! I started sorting my embellishments by rainbow color & found that it is so much easier to find things! So I do that with my ribbon too!

It all started with the white cubes from Michael's...I had one that had two large drawers and it came with a divider to sort small things. Well, I used it for my Stampin Up ribbon because those spools are larger than most...then it hit me! Why not put ALL my ribbon like that?? So I bought 2 more cubes, but this time I bought the ones w/3 smaller drawers....AND I made my own dividers out of foam board! So here is the "Tower O'Ribbon" (labeled of course!!)

And here is my ribbon...Ta-Da!!! (Imagine the sun shining, birds singing & all of the wonderful things that are beautiful!!)

Using the foam board makes it more flexible also...notice in the black/white drawer, one of the dividers is "bent" for larger ribbon spools, but just "bends" back when it is taken out! I made all these dividers with a little more than 1 full sheet of foam board!!

I also store my scraps in here too...just used one section of the dividers for scraps!

I would like to get one more set of drawers...I would love to separate my red & pink ribbon! I now have a total of  8 drawers (red/pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black/white & brown/metallic) Now when I am making something, I figure out what color ribbon, open the drawer & there is all my ribbons in one place!
