Christmas Crafts

I can't believe it has been almost a week since I last posted!! It has been one crazy couple of weeks!! Craft show, crafting, Christmas parties, crafting, birthday parties, crafting, decorating, crafting...I think you get the picture!! LOTS & LOTS of crafting!! Last night I felt like Edward Scissorhands with cardstock & ribbon flying everywhere as I cut away!! LOL!!

Thought I would take a few minutes and share some of the crafts I have been working on this week! I made 60 lollipop holders, 20 chap stick holders, 6 anti-bacterial holders, 24 glitter ornaments, 4 gift card stockings, 1 candy jar,1 comp book gift set....and a partridge in a pear tree!! (LOL!! Thanks Kathryn!!) Whew!!! I told you...LOTS & LOTS Of crafting!!

Here are a couple of pics of the finished projects...I will post more tomorrow! :)

Tomorrow I am going to do a post on the glitter new addiction!! :) Thanks so much for sticking out the crazy, busy week and coming back to see more! :) I promise to be posting regularly next week! Also, will be posting for my DT's again! I will be glad to get back into the "routine"!

Until next time...

Craft Show Goodies

Just wanted to show some of the things I made for the craft show today! I really hope it goes well!! :)

First off I have some Gumdrop candy sticks! I have seen many different candies used in making these bags, but I hadn't seen gumdrops! When I was at the store buying candy for the bags I saw the gumdrops & figured they would fit...well they fit perfectly!!! And then I remembered my new stamp set from Stamps of Life had a Gumdrop on it!! It was fate!! LOL! So I made up a template with "Goody Goody Gumdrops" (Everytime I see gumdrops, I think of that!!) and punched the tags out...
Next, when my kids were little I used to use the "Magic Reindeer Food" with them and they loved it! SO when I saw a template for the tag I knew I had to make some for the craft show! I had these tubes that my Dad gave me for months now & haven't been able to use them. They have really narrow openings, so candy doesn't fit in them but Magic Reindeer Food does...perfectly!!!

And last but not craft show would be complete with out Snowman Soup!! :)
In one day, I made 50 candy sticks, 35 Reindeer Food & 20 snowman soup!! Whew!! That was a long day!! I have much more to show but I will leave that for another post!! Wish me luck in the show!! :)

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥

Becky's Sweet Creations Weekly Challenge- Telescoping Card

Wow!! I can't believe I have only posted one time this week!! I have been so busy getting ready for the craft show on Saturday, but I will have tons of projects to share with you in the next few days!!

But first today I am showing my weekly DT challenge from Becky's Sweet Creations! Our challenge this week was to make a telescoping card! You can find the directions was really easy once I got the idea in my head! I am glad we did this at Christmas time, because I wouldn't have a clue what to do except this....

I used some gold ribbon that looks to me like tinsel and added some colored rhinestones all over the tree! I also ran the scalloped circles through the Big Shot with the "Forest Branches" embossing folder! At first when I was making this I wasn't quite sure I liked it but then when it was done...I really love it!! Another DT member made a snowman!! It was SO cute!! SO be sure to go back to Becky's Sweet Creations and check out what the rest of the DT came with this week!

Until next time... ♥ Laura ♥

I added some Cherry Cobbler ribbon from Stampin Up & of course had to add some Stickles!! :) This would be cute for a quick little note!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was busy busy!! I had our monthly Stamp Club on Sat, so tomorrow I will be posting some pics of the projects we made! But for now...head on back to My Cricut CraftRoom to see more projects!

Happy Birthday Justin & Festive Friday

First off, I have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother!! My little brother...I can't even express how much I love him & how proud I am of him!! He turns 25 today, so that must make me what...27? 28? HA!! No!! Mom decided when I was senior in HS to expand our family (I know, I know Mom!! 2nd marriage & surprise!!!) and at 17, I got the brother I always wanted!! SO even though he is 17 yrs younger than me...We are closer than some people are with their siblings who are around the same age! I was always his "2nd Mother"! He makes me so proud of him for all he has already accomplished! Oh I could go on & on...but I will stop that part & start my crafty post!!

Welcome to Festive Friday!! Today is the day the DT over at My Cricut CraftRoom makes fun, festive projects!! It is finally Friday!! TGIF! I don't know why I am so excited for it to be here...I have a stamping party tomorrow & still need to get the house cleaned up, and the rest of the projects finished! =/ But I know it will get done & the party will be so much fun!!

Back to today's project! I, of course, had to do a Christmas card for today but decided to use non-traditional colors! I used a "new-to-me" cart that I borrowed from a friend..."Ribbons & Rosettes" I am in love with this cart!! I just love making rosettes & this has so many to choose from!

How fun is this?? I used Glitter Mist on the back piece and sprayed some on the rosette too! Look at that purple plaid ribbon...LOVE IT!!! I didn't use the medallion from the cart, I decided to use a stamp instead!
Here is a side view, you can see the shimmer on the embossed piece AND you can see how large this rosette is! Very tall!! But very cool! :)

Thanks for coming by, now you can head on over the My Cricut CraftRoom to see more Festive Friday!

Until next time...
